“Lola was very dog reactive, snapping and snarling on walks, but after just a few sessions with Lauren she was well on the road to a model dog. She even learned tricks and now walks beautifully on the lead. Amazing transformation.”
“I would 100% recommend Lauren. She gave excellent and clear guidance for us as first time puppy owners. Her knowledge and experience is vast and I believe that we have a calm, happy dog because of her input. I really feel that the at home dog training was a great investment for us and the weekly practical aspect strengthened our bond with Millie – we really do think that she is now a super pup! We can take our puppy out with us and she is now socialable whereas when I initially contacted Lauren she was becoming reactive with other dogs.”
“Lauren is a magician. The work she does is amazing. Chika was hyper and uncontrollable when people called to the house. He is now a lot calmer. I can open my front door and he waits on his mat, something that was unheard of until Lauren worked her magic. I cannot tell you how highly I would recommend Lauren. She’s a genius. Chika is a lot happier now and so am I.
Thanks Lauren”

Meet your Trainer
Hi, I’m Lauren – and dogs have been my life since I was 12 years old.
By 14, I was competing in obedience and agility with my Miniature Dachshund. By 17, I was teaching classes at my local training school. Over 25 years later, providing dog training Cork families trust is still the most rewarding work I can imagine.
At Planet Pup, I work 1-to-1 with owners across Cork. Classes take place in your home, in your environment, with your dog. Whether you have a chaos-filled new puppy or a dog with deep-rooted behaviour challenges, my approach is the same: understand the dog first, then build a training plan that actually fits your life.
I believe there’s no such thing as a bad dog. Every behaviour has a reason – and a solution.

““Lauren was excellent at her job. I contacted Lauren after reading her reviews. I enrolled our Labrador pup in the 7 week course. I would highly recommend Lauren as I saw a vast improvement in our dog. She teaches you how to manage your dog.””
“We highly recommend Lauren at Planet Pup. We brought home two working cocker puppies and Lauren’s help was invaluable from the very start.
She’s incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and clearly has a wealth of experience with dogs. Her advice was practical, easy to follow, and made a huge difference to both our puppies and our confidence as owners.
Thanks to Lauren, both of our dogs are now a real pleasure to be with. We’re so grateful for her support and would recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic dog trainer.

““We are so pleased to say our little puppy successfully completed the Smarty Pup Obedience Course (3-6) months. Coco Bear really developed positive traits over the seven week course. Liam & I learned so much from our trainer Lauren, with her expert guidance and effective training techniques. Lauren’s instructions were easy to follow. She demonstrated each technique before getting us to practice on our own. She always brought along printed session notes for us to practice with our puppy after each class. We found these notes really useful. We are so grateful to Lauren for the diligence, care and kindness she showed to Coco Bear each week. Our puppy was smitten with her. We would highly recommend Lauren from Planet Pup to train your pet.””

Still Unsure? Here Are Common Questions
01 What training methods does Planet Pup use?
At Planet Pup, we use reward-based training methods focused on positive reinforcement, following the LIMA approach. This approach builds trust and motivates your dog to learn and respond willingly. Our science-backed techniques are designed to be enjoyable for both you and your furry friend.
02 What happens after I book?
After you book, you’ll receive access to my booking calendar, where you can book your training sessions at times that suit you.
If you’ve booked a Behaviour Consult, go ahead and book your follow-up sessions through the calendar. I’ll then contact you separately to arrange your history call before your initial consultation.
03 When should I start training my puppy?
Puppy training can begin from 8 weeks old. Early socialisation and foundational skills prevent common issues like biting, pulling on the lead, or poor recall. Starting early builds confidence and good habits.
04 Can you help a reactive, fearful or aggressive dog?
Yes. We provide one-to-one behaviour consults in Cork for reactivity, fear, separation anxiety, and aggression. Each consult includes a full assessment and a step-by-step behaviour plan tailored to your dog.
05 Is my dog too old to train?
No — dogs can learn at any age. While early training is ideal, adolescent and adult dogs can improve significantly with consistent, structured guidance.
06 How many sessions will my dog need?
Puppy training is delivered in structured courses, while behaviour consults vary depending on the issue. After your first assessment, you’ll receive a clear plan with expected progress and next steps.
07 Where do you provide dog training in Cork?
We provide 1-to-1, in-home dog training across Cork City, Cobh, Douglas, Glanmire, Ballincollig, Carrigaline, Midleton, Blarney, Mallow, Fermoy and surrounding areas. Because training takes place in your home and local environment, we can work on the behaviours that matter most in your everyday life
08 How many sessions should I book each week?
We generally recommend one session per week. In some cases, your trainer might suggest a different time gap, but generally one session each week is optimal for the training courses.
